About Western Learning Network

Western Learning Network is a network of community-based adult education providers in Western Melbourne who share a commitment to providing access to relevant, affordable and high quality education and training for people of all abilities. The network members are

  • Laverton Community Education Centre
  • Williamstown Community and Education Centre
  • Wyndham Community and Education Centre
  • Yarraville Community Centre

The Network’s programs provide access to government-funded education and training to people with a disability in Western Melbourne so that they do not exhaust their NDIS and other disability funding on education training services to which they may have a clear and legitimate entitlement.

We deliver group programs specifically designed for people with disabilities in various categories such as community participation, art and culture, life skills, employability skills and vocational training. We also have inclusive and accessible mainstream programs which are open to people of all abilities in the community.

These programs ensure people with a disability have access to realistic pathways to employment and further education. We actively seek partnerships with other education and disability support providers to ensure people with a disability have access to as wide a range of education and training services as possible and are not locked in with a single service provider for life.
